Tonya has been in the dental field for close to two decades, and she says that her favorite part of her job is the people—both our patients as well as her fellow team members! Being able to work with the special needs community is incredibly rewarding, and she enjoys being able to provide care that you can’t find at just any dental office. She attended Labette County Community College and the Concord Career College. She worked as a certified pharmacy technician before earning her license as a registered dental assistant. She is also nitrous oxide certified. Tonya is married to a retired police officer, and they have an amazing son together—who works in emergency medical services. Her hobbies include reading, going to thrift shops, shooting with her guns or bow, serving at her Church, and being with her family. One fun fact: she was able to go to a recording studio once to record a gospel CD!
Andy has worked at Disability Dental Services since 2014. He says that our dental office has an amazing group of people who are all dedicated to the same goal: helping our patients in any way that we can. He is a registered dental assistant who received his training from Kaplan University, and he has passed the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam. Andy and his wife are always on the go thanks to their two girls and two boys. If he isn’t taking someone to choir, baseball, softball, or volleyball practice, he enjoys woodworking and working on cars.
Cappie joined our dental office in 2019 and has been working in dentistry since the 1980's. She says that she loves being a part of our beautiful mission to serve the special needs community. Originally from Eunice, LA, she and her husband, Mike, have been married for over 20 years and have a daughter who has given them two adorable grandchildren. When she isn’t spending time with family, she likes to hike, kayak, fish, garden, cook, and bake.
Ashley has worked at Disability Dental Services since 2008, and she says that her favorite thing about her job is getting to see the direct positive impact of her efforts by the look on her patient’s faces. Being able to see how grateful and happy patients feel after their treatments is very rewarding for her. A native of Midlothian, TX, she studied at Concorde Career College to become certified in nitrous oxide as well as to become a registered dental assistant. After some time, she was able to work her way up to the front desk as our recall coordinator and billing coordinator. At home, Ashley is married to the love of her life, and together they have two sons. If the family isn’t at the soccer field, you’ll usually find them camping or lying out by the pool. Her son also plays soccer and runs cross country, so they enjoy supporting him every chance they get.
Laura entered the dental field right after high school, initially sterilizing equipment. It wasn’t long before she obtain her dental assistant license at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Two decades later, she continues to love interacting with her patients. Giving them a warm welcome when they enter our office never gets old! With five children (including twins), life outside the office is never dull. Some of her favorite things to do in her free time are cheering on her son at his baseball games, watching Cowboys and Texas Ranger games, and watching Lifetime movies.
Janelle is originally from Arlington! She attended Dallas Medical and Dental School before becoming a dental assistant in 2018. Since joining our team, she has loved working alongside an amazing team and getting to see each patient get the wonderful care they deserve. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, baking, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s something you may not know about her: she likes eating her French fries with mayo.
Since 2007, Kathryn has helped patients stay calm and relaxed thanks to her expertise. She completed her training at the Drake University School of Anesthesia. When she isn’t spending time with her husband, daughter, and two sons, she likes to go hiking as often as possible and travels every chance she gets. She says that her kitchen is her happy place, and she recently started gardening as well.
Sheril has been a part of the dental world since 2003, and she is grateful that she can ease our patients’ fears to allow them to receive dental care comfortably. She graduated from the Texas Christian University School of Anesthesia and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia. She has two daughters, and likes to stay active by attending SoulCycle spin classes and doing Pilates.
Stephanie has been with Disability Dental Services since 2014 and brings decades of experience to her role. She attended Texas Women’s University, and when she isn’t hanging out with her family, friends, or pets, she likes to work in the yard, ski, hike, bake, and travel.
